San Antonio, Texas, (September 23, 2024) – Rise Recovery announced today they received a Blue Impact grant from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, an award reflecting BCBSTX’s dedication to community-based organizations that prioritize the well-being of children and families. 

The grant recognizes the crucial role of local organizations in fostering positive change, tackling underlying factors that influence health, including socio-economic challenges, and promoting economic opportunities. 

Rise Recovery was awarded the Blue Impact grant based on our dedication to providing “Health Solutions!” Through the alternative peer group model, Rise Recovery offers programs for youth, young adults, family members, and those grieving a loved one. 

Rise Recovery also heavily invests its time in outreach, education and awareness as a crucial community imperative for individuals struggling with substance use and mental health. In 2023, Rise Recovery served 4,526 individuals and reached 18,376 individuals in the local community with outreach and education on topics such as peer pressure, fentanyl, vaping, mental health and more. The Blue Impact grant will help further our work in the recovery community. 

BCBSTX has awarded more than $25 million in grants to community organizations statewide since 2011, touching the lives of millions of Texas children and families.
