Calling All Texas Schools: Meet Your Federal Fentanyl Training Requirements with Rise Recovery
San Antonio, TX (August 29, 2024) – In response to the growing fentanyl crisis and the implementation of Tucker’s Law, Rise Recovery is proud to offer comprehensive education and training programs designed to help Texas schools meet the new state requirements.
Initiated by Texas Against Fentanyl, Tucker’s Law mandates that Texas schools implement fentanyl awareness courses for students in grades 6-12. This legislation aims to equip students with essential knowledge about the dangers of fentanyl through up to 10 hours of dedicated education and a week focused on poisoning awareness.
Rise Recovery provides specialized education, training, and presentations directly on school campuses, facilitated by State Certified Recovery Support Peer Specialists and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors. With a 45-year legacy of promoting substance and alcohol awareness and early intervention, Rise Recovery is uniquely positioned to support schools in fulfilling the requirements of Tucker’s Law.
Our training sessions are flexible and can be delivered both virtually and in person, ensuring that all schools have access to the resources they need. In addition to fulfilling educational mandates, Rise Recovery offers further support to families, helping them address potential substance use issues identified through these awareness programs.
Rise Recovery is committed to helping teens, young adults, and families in San Antonio overcome the effects of drug and alcohol use. Our mission extends beyond recovery; we are dedicated to partnering with the community to provide education and prevention services that empower individuals and strengthen families.
